About Cleveland Empowerment Foundation

Cleveland Empowerment Foundation

The Cleveland Empowerment Foundation (CEF) is the nonprofit arm of The Kirkland Group that supports afterschool and summer programs for middle school students. The programs focus on literacy, mathematics, science, physical education, and the arts. CEF has a partnership with the Juanita Sims Doty Foundation to offer the Choose to Grow program to support students at various sites throughout the state.

The CEF scholarship fund was established in honor of Malcoln Kirkland, Jr. to help students attending a historically black college or university in Mississippi.

The Cleveland Empowerment Foundation has made several donations to institutions of higher learning to support students.
